  • At this stage, the lanugo, downy hair that covered most of your baby’s body, is disappearing.
  • Now, the pupils of your baby’s eyes can dilate and constrict in response to light.
  • Your baby’s lungs are also well-formed.
  • If your baby is a boy, then his testicles are descending into the scrotum around this time.
  • Due to a lack of room, your baby’s legs are usually bent and held near the trunk.

  • At this week, you will notice the extra weight around your midsection because your baby continues to grow.
  • You may also feel extra bulky due to fluid retention.
  • By now, some women see their belly button shift from an “innie” to an “outie”.
  • The amount of amniotic fluid may be peaking right now and excess fluid gets absorbed into your body.

  • You need proper rest to deal with your body changes. If you can, try to nap during the day.
  • When sitting or lying down, your blood may tend to pool a little in your extremities. So get up slowly because if you rise too quickly, you may feel lightheaded.

You should call your doctor if you begin experiencing contractions. Also, do not hesitate to call your doctor, if you experience severe abdominal or pelvic pain, vaginal bleeding or fluid leakage.
