Now, you are 15 weeks pregnant. So, how many months pregnant you are? Well, you are three months and approximately two weeks pregnant.

Your baby is now about the size of an apple or orange. Your baby’s proportions are becoming even more normal this week. He or she is still small but there’s lot happening during this week.

  • The skeleton of your baby is beginning to develop bones.
  • Your baby’s legs are growing longer than his or her arms now.
  • The ears of your baby are now developed enough that he can hear sounds from within your body, like the sound of your heartbeat, voice as well as digestive system. He may also pick up muffled sounds from the outside world.
  • Your baby can move all of his or her joints and limbs, now.
  • Soon, you’ll begin to feel little flutters of your baby’s movement.
  • Additionally, your baby is growing more skin and hair. Even his or her eyebrows are growing.

As you are now in the second trimester, your symptoms may be less intense when compared to the first trimester. But that doesn’t mean that you are symptom-free. During this time, you may experience following symptoms:

  • body pains
  • continued weight gain
  • tingling in the hands and feet
  • darkening of skin around the nipples

Now, you may notice several changes from outside such as an increase in belly size and so you may consider wearing maternity clothes for comfort.

  • The first most important change- your belly may be getting larger. Apart from the belly, your breasts and nipples may also be getting larger.
  • These outward changes may make your pregnancy feel more real now.
  • You will feel your baby’s first movements, in just a few weeks.
  • Your emotions may shift as your body adjusts to mid-pregnancy.
  • You may feel anxious about your pregnancy.
  • Due to increased blood circulation, there will be slight swelling in your feet, ankles, and hands.
  • During this time, your sex life may even change. Your feelings about sex can heighten or disappear. Keep an open communication with your partner and share your feelings with him.

  • To ease the discomfort, you can do some mild exercises. Walking, swimming or simple yoga poses can be the good options.
  • Pay strict attention to foods that are triggering your pregnancy symptoms. Try to avoid these foods.
  • Take good care of your oral health to avoid gum infection. Brush your teeth often and floss gently.
  • Try investing in a body pregnancy pillow to have a better sleep.
  • Getting a massage before bed may help with your insomnia. You can also try some other relaxation techniques.
